About Elmsdale Guest House:
Your hosts are Glenis & Dick Cliffe. Their aim is to
provide guests with a welcoming, personal service and a relaxing
stay in good quality accommodation at a reasonable price.
Elmsdale is a Victorian town house in a terrace of fine town
houses leading off Penzance sea front. Elmsdale is within the
Penzance conservation area and close to Penlee Park. The Town centre is approximately 600 metres away through the park or
via leafy paved pedestrian paths that criss-cross the Town. The
house exhibits many traditional features of the generously
proportioned buildings of the Victorian era and was thoroughly refurbished
in 2007/8.
Guest accommodation is located on the first and second floors and comprises
4 double bedrooms (all en-suite). One room has twin beds
and the largest double room has a single futon suitable for a
3rd adult or child (10 yrs or over). All rooms have
flat screen TVs, DVD players, broadband internet access (wired
and wireless), tea/coffee making facilities and a hair dryer.
All parking is on-street but is normally plentiful. Secure
storage is available for bicycles (cyclists and walkers are
welcome).
Breakfast is served in the ground floor dining room and comprises a
selection of cereals, fruit juices, grapefruit segments and a
range of cooked to order options including a full English Breakfast.
Most special dietary needs can be catered for if notice is
given.
Evening meals are not provided but there is a wide range of
restaurants, cafes and take-aways in the Town centre. No pets accepted.
Children accepted if aged 10 years or older. No smoking is
permitted anywhere inside the property.
Access Statement. There are 4 steps to the front door of
the property and all bedrooms require negotiation of the main
stair case which has 12 steps. The guest house is not
suitable for wheelchair users or those that need help with
stairs.
