Local Attractions:
- Seafront with footpaths to nearby beaches
(some pebble and some sand). The sea is clean and safe for
swimming.
- Spectacular sandy beaches only a few
minutes drive away. Try Sennen at least once.
- Gardens - there are some excellent gardens
in the area including Trengwainton and
Trewidden.
- Acorn Theatre, Penzance for a diverse
range of events performed in an intimate environment.

paintings and exhibitions (500 metres from Elmsdale). There is
also the futuristic

Gallery
in the centre of Penzance and
numerous smaller commercial galleries.

St. Michael's Mount
(National Trust) - check the tide to see if you can walk across
the causeway.
- Mousehole – pretty harbour village 3 miles
away with a range of pubs and restaurants.

Eden Project - very popular
and deservedly so (approx 1 hours drive away). Can be crowded.

Isles of Scilly day trips
by sea or air. A visit to Tresco is especially recommended.

South West Coastal Path – numerous stunning walks around
the Penwith Peninsula.
- St. Ives - lots of art galleries including
The
Tate. Excellent beaches and
good restaurants. Consider using the rail connection from
Penzance
or the bus service to avoid traffic problems in peak holiday
periods.

Minack Theatre – an open
air theatre operating in the summer season only (book in
advance). Also museum & tea shop with spectacular views. Click

interactive exhibits.
